World War II

World War II was the deadliest conflict in human history and lasted from 1939 to 1945. It was fought in battles across Europe, Africa and Asia. As well, it is estimated that it resulted in 70 to 85 million deaths. The war saw the rise and fall of Nazi Germany, the Holocaust, the first use of atomic weapons, and the reshaping of the entire world political order.
